Venn growth partners (“venn”) today announced it has completed an investment in Higher Ground Education Inc. (“Higher Ground” or the “Company”), the largest provider of Montessori education globally, with over 80 locations and at-home and virtual learning programs serving more than 7,000 students worldwide.

Venn, as lead in Higher Ground’s US$40 million Series C financing, invested over US$20 million, including affiliates and co-investors Heal Partners [and Valinor]. Investment proceeds will be utilized by Higher Ground to continue its organic and inorganic growth strategy, including the recent acquisition of Altitude Learning’s technology platform, an industry-leading learning management system that enables learner-centered education.

“venn’s immense value as a partner became evident the moment they committed to our organization, months before the ink was dry on their investment. From helping source candidates, to introducing valuable contacts in their network, to facilitating key strategy sessions, venn’s value as a partner has surpassed all expectations,” said Ray Girn, Founder and CEO of Higher Ground. “We have always held to the deep conviction that our investors, no less than the rest of our team, should reflect both the idealism and the executional excellence demanded by our mission—and by that measure, we could not be more delighted and honored to partner with venn.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Ray and the Higher Ground management team to support their vision,” said Jon McCarthy, a Founder and Managing Partner of venn. “Our investment in Higher Ground closely aligns with our investment strategy to partner with distinctive Founder CEOs who are delivering superior customer outcomes through scalable platforms with proven unit economics.”
